Canton Liberty Fest is an annual event that gives Canton, Township, residents a chance to celebrate their independence as a good experience, family fun alongside carnival rides, delicious food, dazzling fireworks, and jam-packed entertainment. To keep local communities informed about the event, a new mobile app will be released ahead of the festivities outlining performer and scheduling information.

The festival will also feature a Juneteenth Community Celebration, Friday night fireworks, and the Annual Liberty Run. Before the event, a new mobile app for Apple and Android users will be launched, with festival news, entertainment schedules, performer information, and more.

Canton Township proudly presents its annual Liberty Fest at Heritage Park on June 15th through 17th. This family-friendly event will feature carnival rides, games, a marketplace, food and drinks, live entertainment, a Juneteenth Community Celebration, Friday night fireworks, and the Annual Liberty Run. To accommodate festival-goers sensitive to large crowds and certain stimuli, rides, midway games, lights, and music will be turned off between 1-3 PM on Thursday, June 15th. The Liberty Fest will also release a mobile app for Apple and Android users for easy access to festival news, entertainment schedules, performer information, and more.

Canton Liberty Fest is proud to offer its attendees the perfect family outing with various carnival rides and performances on the Canton LIVE Stage. On Thursday, June 15, Merge Band will bring the '50s Rock and Roll hits, Sonic Freeway will provide covers, Looking Back will perform Bob Seger Tribute music, and Hotel Bodhisattva will bring Yacht Rock. Friday, June 16, will continue the celebration with School of Rock, Bugs Beddow, and The Good Stuff, and Bernadette Kathryn & the Lonely Days Band taking the stage at 2 p.m., followed by fireworks shortly after dark (with a rain date set for Saturday night).

Saturday, June 17, will be packed with excitement when Batman and Rapunzel kick off the Canton Lions Club’s Annual Pancake Breakfast at 8 a.m., followed by The International Festival’s cultural performances and displays at 11:30 a.m. To wrap up the day, guests can take part in the Juneteenth Community celebration activities from 1-6 p.m., including an African Bead and Flag Craft and reading corner with books by African American authors, as well as the Black History 101 Mobile Museum and a 2.5 Block Walk to commemorate the 2.5 years Texas enslaved people waited for their freedom.

Other activities throughout the festival include a Zumba Party in the Park, additional Juneteenth Celebration performances, the annual Liberty Fest Treasure Sale by the Canton Club 55+, free children’s eye screenings, and the opportunity to purchase locally-produced merchandise.
